To minimize use of plastic and make packaging more sustainable

-By automating the wrapping process and optimizing plastic film usage—reducing shrink wrap consumption from 11 meters to 7 meters per pallet

The initiative focuses on enhancing the adoption of energy-efficient LED technology across India, aimed at reducing energy consumption and supporting sustainability efforts

2024 and continuing, The goal is to contribute to India’s broader energy efficiency drive and to support the country's environmental goals by reducing overall carbon footprint

How? Through strategic partnerships with LED luminaire manufacturers, extensive outreach by the sales team, and operational support from the OPCO management and leadership team. The initiative leverages the widespread adoption of LED technology to ensure significant reductions in energy use.

Local Impact:  CO₂ Reduction: 1812 Metric Tons annually

Low Carbon Fleet

2022 and continuing, The purpose of the initiative is to support and promote the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) among employees, contributing to a reduction in the carbon footprint and aligning with the company's sustainability objectives.

How? By installing a dedicated EV charging infrastructure at the Gurgaon facility.

Providing employees with access to this charging station to make it easier for them to adopt EVs, thus reducing reliance on conventional vehicles.

Local Impact:

The EV Charging Point has encouraged the adoption of EVs at Gurgaon facility. 10% of the vehicles coming to Gurgaon facility are now EVs from 0% two years back

Solar Energy

Description of the initiative:  2024 and continuing

To reduce dependency on non-renewable energy sources and to support our sustainability goals and reduce our carbon footprint

How? By integrating Solar Power renewable technology into existing infrastructure and adopting green energy

Local Impact:

10 KVA solar system installed

Waste Management

Refurbishing and reusing packaging material (Corrugated boxes & wooden pallet) received from suppliers

2019 and continuing, To reduce the consumption of virgin packaging materials and minimize waste generation

By systematically introducing and scaling the use of reusable boxes in warehouse operations, thereby reducing reliance on disposable corrugated boxes

By repairing, maintaining, and reusing incoming wooden pallets instead of discarding them after single use.

Local Impact:

By reusing, reduced consumption of fresh corrugated boxes, pallets and consequently waste generation of 14.4 tons of corrugated cardboard & wood.
